Hola Bill,
I measured NLMC'05 again on 22 Dec and found it had brightened by 0.27 (V)
mag. Is this common nova behaviour?

Dec 22.5014 JD 2453727.0014 R=12.33 +/-0.03
Dec 22.5056 JD 2453727.0056 R=12.81 +/-0.01

Hola Everyone -

Here are three more recent magnitudes for NLMC'05. In chronological order:

Taken by Fabio H. Carvalho of Assis-SP, Brazil with a Kodak Dx7620 digital
camera and a 254mm f/6 Newtonian. Image kindly sent to me by Raquel Shida.
Reduced by W Liller using the standards supplied by Morel:

Dec. 18.9868 JD 2453723.4868 V = 13.04 +/- 0.03 (est)

Sent to me by Bernard Heathcote of Glenhope, Victoria, Australia:

Dec. 19.5396 JD 2453724.0396 V = 13.08 +/- 0.01

Observation by W.Liller, again using standards supplied by Morel:

Dec. 20.0994 JD 24533724.5994 V = 13.14 +/- 0.05.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I also append the text of an e-mail that I sent to Arne Henden of the AAVSO
on Dec 12:

All the best to all, Bill Liller

Convinced as I now am that Morel's stars at V = 12.56 and 11.42 are not
seriously variable, I have redone the reductions. I send you herewith my
revised V mags for N LMC '05. For these I used five comparison stars from
Morel's list identifiable from their V mags, namely 11.42, 12.13, 12.56 and
13.29; plus one from Guide 8/Tycho with V = 11.52. And for one night --
Dec 9 -- just to make a thorough check, I used a total of 12 stars with
published Vs.

Here are the revised magnitudes. (Anre: I've also listed mags just
received from Bernard Heathcote and Peter Nelson. Thank you both !)
