The star is a big galaxy, converted to a stardot in the catalogs we
used to make the chart (which are clearly labelled in the footer).

This chart was marked as "provisional" on the chart itself and
on the chart download page as "preliminary - unchecked". When we have to get
a chart out fast, that's what we do. It usually takes the chart team many
days to check a chart, so for an Alert Notice we put it out unchecked,
with it marked as such. If you find an error before the team does,
the proper course is to let us know about it by e-mailing us or using
the CHET tool. Posting to the discussion groups is good too because
then others know about it immediately.

Bob is referring to the fact that I am going to be out of the office
tomorrow and away from any Internet contact for most of the day and
evening. I informed the chart team of this so would be prepared and Bob
is on the team. Bob's new chart will go online either before I sleep tonight or
before I leave tomorrow morning, as long as he has sent it to me by then.
Otherwise our webmaster can place it online in my absense, as she
did when I was gone for the recent Alert Notice 331.
