Dear colleagues,

Kiyota-san has observed OU Vir last night, and clearly
detected superhumps and eclipses. The current outburst
was proved to be a superoutburst!

The superoutburst has been observed four times in this
star, in 1999 May, 2000 June, 2003 May, and 2006 February
(this time). Since this dwarf nova is faint even at
the supermaximum, about 15 mag, some superoutburst may
have been missed. The supercycle is estimated to be
1-3 years.

A point which interests us is that the rebrightening
after the 2003 superoutburst lasted at least 4 days.
It is a rare case that a rebrightening is observed
in an SU UMa star having a not-so-short orbital period.
Furthermore, such a long rebrightening may have been
recorded only in WZ Sge and AL Com other than OU Vir.

At this time, we have two other most important targets,
ASAS 102522-1542.4 and DO Dra, in the latter half
night. And OU Vir was quite intensively observed
during the 2003 superoutburst. You thus need not
take long time for OU Vir observation, but please
continue to monitor the behavior of OU Vir during
this superoutburst closely.

When you obtained data of the stars of current interest,
ASAS 023322-1047.0, ASAS 102522-1542.4, DO Dra, and
OU Vir, please send them to
vsnet-campaign-report at ooruri.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp !

Best regards,
