[vsnet-alert 8886] bright (mag 4.8!) possible nova in Cyg

Dear all,

  A bright possible nova in Cygnus has been reported.  The new object
was detected on Mar. 17.814 UT, when the object was mag about 4.8 (!).
The reported position is 21h23m50s, +31d19'50" (J2000.0).
Confirmation is very urgently needed!
