Dear colleagues,
A recently discovered dwarf nova, 1RXS J053234.9+624755
(Bernhard et al., 2005, IBVS 5620) is currently in a long
outburst, as below.
RXJ053234 20060630.938 12.3 KWO
RXJ053234 20060702.935 12.2 KWO
RXJ053234 20060703.962 12.3 KWO
Superhumps were observed in the 2005 March superoutburst
by Tonny Vanmunster, and this star was firmly identified
as an SU UMa-type dwarf nova. For a very short superhump
period of 0.057 d, its supercycle is not so long, ~450 days.
Please keep a close eye on this interesting object.
Best regards,
Daisaku Nogami

Subject: [cvnet-discussion] RXSJ053234
Hello,
The Austrian astronomer Klaus Bernard discovered the cataclysmic
nature of the star RXSJ053234. Since its discovery, there were two
outburst:
- a superoutburst in March 2005
- a normal outburst in February 2006
This star went again in outburst on June 30,2006. Wolfgang Kriebel
reported this star still to be in outburst near maximal brightness on
20060704.969. Is this a superoutburst, or just a longer normal
outburst. Is somebody doing or planning a time-series on this litle
studied new UGSU star?
Clear skies,
Erwin van Ballegoij

The current outburst of 1RXS J053234.9+624755 should be a
supermaximum. Unfortunately it is not the best season now
to observe this DN.
Regards,
Patrick
