Hi, Peter,
It looks you are right. Specially because the fading from a bright maximum 
was steeper than normal.
I have added my observations to those you have sent.
There is a 0.2 mag. zeor point difference but the trend is evident.
I won't have clear skies for several days so I won't be able to follow it.
I hope you can take a look tonight.
