[vsnet-alert 9019] SW UMa: superhump evolution

Nakajima-san's observation on Sep. 20 now clearly show
superhumps with an amplitude of 0.15 mag or slightly larger.
The superhump profile is now smooth and characteristic,
differing from more structured Sep. 19 light curve.
These observations seem to indicate that superhumps have
indeed developed lately.

This finding is in line with the apparently slow development
of superhumps during the 1986 bright superoutburst (Robinson
et al. 1987, ApJ 313, 772), when superhumps had not well
developed even 6 d after the visual maximum.

The growth of superhumps was detected 5-d after the outburst
detection.
