Carlo Gualdoni reports that V1212 Tau (see below) is undergoing
an outburst! Confirmatory observations and time-resolved photometry
(as well as spectroscopy, multicolor photometry -- the dwarf nova
nature has not yet been established) is strongly encouraged.
Astrometric observation is also highly wanted.

Dear dwarf nova fans,

Some of vsnet-obs readers may have noticed a star "TAU034525" in VSOLJ
reports. This object corresponds to a variable star (not given designation
in GCVS and Name Lists: does anyone know the reason?) in Astro. Tsirk.
No. 1269 (Parasamyan, Oganyan, Kazaryan, Yankovich).

    Their observations:

The object is reported to be invisible on POSS. Large amplitude and
bursts lasting at least a day suggest that this variable may be a dwarf nova
rather than a flare star.
