[vsnet-alert 9221] Re: V1280 Sco still rising

   Fujii-san reported the following spectrum of V1280 Sco
this morning.

   Balmer lines other than Halpha were in absorption. The overall
spectrum resembles that of a B-A type star.  Halpha was in weak
emission accompanied by a P Cyg profile (blue-shifted by 400 km/s).

   The overall reported behavior sounds pretty unusual (slow
evolution in brightness and >13 mag amplitude).
