V1280 Sco : still bright in near-infrared.

We performed optical and near-infrared photometry of V1280 Sco on 7 Mar. and 8 Mar. with the 1.5m KANATA telescope at Higashi-Hiroshima Observatory, Japan.

V1280 Sco is still bright in near-infrared.(Ks magnitudes is around 3.9 mag)
We will continue the monitoring of this object in near-infrared band.

Our results showed V1280 Sco is still very red(V-J=4.6 and V-Ks =7.4 on 8 Mar).
In the optical range, the object shows rapid decline(about 0.5 mag per day in V).
While near infrared magnitudes are almost constant in the last 3 days.
This may indicate that the dust formation is now in progress.

Temporary results is in follwing page.
