   Kyoto team (Sugiyasu-san, Kubota-san, Maehara-san) and
Nakajima-san succeeded in obtaining time-resolved CCD
photometry on April 14.

The data already show the presence of low-amplitude
modulations (full amplitude of 0.04 mag) with a period
close to the orbital period. Although it is still hard to
make distinction between orbital and superhump periods, the
signal may be either attributed to growing superhumps or
early superhumps. The profile has a slight indication of
double peaks, suggesting the latter identification.

There is also an indication of shorter-period, nearly
periodic oscillations (period ~0.013 d, mean amplitude 0.016
mag). The period being close to exactly one fourth of the
orbital period, the signal may reflect a higher harmonic
component of early superhumps.

During the rising phase on April 12, no such clear
periodicity was detected.

Further observations are very strongly encouraged!
