[vsnet-alert 9308] GW Lib: early superhumps around optical maximum

Dear all,

   Uemura-san and Arai-san have reported time-series photometry
on April 13 at Higashi-Hiroshima Observatory.

   The data fortunately covered the optical maximum!

   Around the optical maximum, the reported hump signature became
evident.  After combining these observations and other observations
of the initial two nights of the outburst, we have successfully
detected the "early superhump" signature.  The period determined
from this combined set of observations (when this modulation was
dominant) was 0.0532(1) d.  This period agrees with the known
orbital period within errors.
