GW Lib: gradually fading with reddening
The KANATA team performed time-series optical-IR photometry
of GW Lib on 12, 13, and 16 Apr. Light curves can be seen at:
http://kanatatmp.blogspot.com/search/label/GW%20Lib
The object is now gradually fading. The fading speed is 0.30, 0.26, and 0.25 mag/day in V-, J-, and Ks-band, respectively. The object is, hence, relatively reddening from 13 Apr. to 16 Apr. The fading speeds are larger than those observed in ordinary superoutburst of SU UMa stars (~0.1 mag/day), and rather reminiscent of early phases of WZ Sge-type dwarf novae.
As reported by Kato-san in [vsnet-alert 9308], we detected
possible short-term modulations on 13 Apr.
The amplitudes of them are apparently larger in IR than in optical.
This indicates that the source of the variations is the outermost
region of an accretion disk.

Makoto Uemura and Akira Arai
on behalf of the KANATA team
