Hi all,

Last night I observed Bill's nova suspect in Norma. I assume it is a
new discovery this time ;-) .

The following data result from observations done at the Bronberg
Observatory / CBA Pretoria around UT 2007 June 17.76 :

Position vs UCAC2: 16 32 11.48 -45 09 13.2 with estimated
uncertainties of less than 0.1 and 0.5 resp (2 st dev)

Brightness: 11.0B, 10.1V, 9.3R with resp uncertainties of 0.1, 0.1,
0.2

Please note my changed work e-mail since 1 May 2007 as shown below:

Hola Everyone -

There is a possible nova at (2000) 16h 32.2m -45d 08'; its approximate
magnitude is 9.4. It appears on two photos taken at approximately
June
15.086 UT
with Kodak TP film, an orange filter and an 85mm lens. The star is
also
clearly seen on a pair of similar photos taken at approximately June
7.193
at approximate magnitude 9.1. Nothing brighter than magnitude 11.0
was
seen at this position on May 20.1.

Confirmation, mags and spectra needed ! BUT PLEASE send any
information
you have directly to me, not to the IAUC/Dan Green.

Note too that I will be away from my office/observatory for two weeks
beginning Monday, June 18 at approximately 18h UT.

All the best, Bill Liller
