1RXS J023238.8-371812: astrometry and brightening
We performed astrometry using the images taken on 30 Sep.
The position of the object was calculated with neighbor
five USNO reference stars. The result is:
R.A. = 02:32:38.09
Dec. = -37:17:54.3
(fitting RMS is 0".4).
Due to the lack of enough number reference stars,
the systematic error of the position may be large.
The above coordinate is marginally in agreement with
the proposed quiescent star with R=18.38 (USNO-B1.0)
(vsnet-alert 9620).
We put an example of CCD images on web:
http://kanatatmp.blogspot.com/search/label/J0232
And, just now, we have started tonight observation
of this object and found that it is further brightening.
Our preliminary analysis shows V=11.4 at 17:45 UT 3 Oct.
We also took spectra, which shows no prominent emission
line. The object is presumably not a classical nova.
