Peter F Williams observed :

"Good morning,

The LMC suspected SDOR type star V733 LMC (HD 296006; RMC 71) appears to be
undergoing a brightness increase that may have commenced around 2007
October. To my eye this star has previously shown little variation around
magnitude 10.7, suggesting the current state may be its brightest in the
past 3 decades. Recent visual observations:

Salutations,  Peter W.

Not many folk have twigged that ASAS3 has recently made a year or so's worth of new data available, in it's database, so there's a bit extra now than there has been for a while (actually, double checking the last obs below is late Feb 2008, unless I've added up wrong)

<http://www.astrouw.edu.pl/cgi-asas/asas_variable/050207-7120.2,asas3,0,0,1000,0>

there also seems to have been some change in the 'area' the graph picks its data from, so the 'rain' falling below the curve will be an adjacent field star also graphed up.

Anyway, confirms what you're saying I think, and the increase may be increasing in rate? With some superposed oscillation too.

Cheers

John
