[vsnet-campaign-nova 2116] Confirmation notice - Re: AAVSO Special Notice #240: Possible nova in Scorpius

Images obtained in BVRI on 110602 around 11:30UT confirm the presence of this possible nova.

Astrometry using MaxIm and a UCAC2 background, giver the following J2000 position:

RA:		16 55 09.47
DEC:	-38 38 04.4 

(Ave residual 0.1arc")

Magnitudes (untransformed) are:

B	12.58 +/- 0.04
V	10.95 +/- 0.02
R	09.70 +/- 0.01
I	08.55 +/- 0.05
