Subject: [vsnet-alert 8546] NSV 24607 stable at deep minimum

Has a total eclipse phase been reached?
Predicted minimum was on July 18, 2005.
The system has rapidly faded down to V= 11.94 but it has stayed at the same
magnitude in two ASAS observations for July 1 and 4, 2005.
Color data would be appreciated since spectra taken by Steve Howell seems to
indicate that the lines of the cool component are those that are missing,
contrary to what I expected from past data.
Is the primary eclipse caused by the occultation of the K giant then??
ASAS lightcurve:

There you can see the big difference between this event and the past ones.

A chart to observe this star:

Cheers,
Sebastian.
