[vsnet-chat 7214] V1290 Aql: possible Mira star rather than a symbiotic binary?

   The ASAS-3 data of V1290 Aql looks like a Mira star
with a period of ~400 d.  The maxima reach V=13.7.

   Although this star has been classified as a symbiotic
variable, this supposed classification was based on
the initial classification (novalike variable) combined
with a late-type star.

   The above observation is also consistent with my past
observations.  Unless otherwise confirmed as a symbiotic
variable, the object may have been misclassified based
on various sources of fragmentary data.
