Dear All,

Further to the below post, FN Sgr appears to be currently entering into
eclipse as shown by the following observations:

STAR YYYYMMDD(UT)	MAG	OBSERVER

SGRFN 20050730.500 134	WPX
SGRFN 20050805.540 133	WPX
SGRFN 20050827.496 134	WPX
SGRFN 20050830.489 134	WPX

Orbital period of the eclipsing symbiotic star FN Sgr

Very recently, Brandi et al. published a paper on FN Sgr
(A&A 440, 239). The orbital period they determined is
568.3(+/-0.3) d. This is remarkably in good agreement
with Watanabe et al.'s value (571.5 d) published 5 years
earlier (VSOLJ Variable Star Bull. 35-36, 2), although
there is no mentioning in Brandi et al. on this earlier
study.
