Dear colleagues,
MisV1267, one of the new variable stars discovered in the course of
the MISAO Project, is a carbon star with H-alpha emission.

R.A. 04h35m47s.34
Decl. +52o49'59".7 (2000.0)
Mag. 10.4-12.9C
Type M
Period 400:
Epoch 2451600:
Only two stars, among 1375 MISAO Project new variable stars, are
identified with H-alpha emission stars. One is MisV1147 = V730 Cep, a
peculiar Herbig Be star. Another one is MisV1267.
MisV1267 is recorded in the Hamburg-Bergedorf H-alpha Stars in
Northern Milky Way as HBHA 18-40. MisV1267 is also recorded in the
carbon star catalogs as CGCS 719 = CGCS J0435+5250. Therefore it is a
carbon star with H-alpha emission.
The MISAO Project observations suggest that MisV1267 is a Mira type
variable with a period of about 400 days. The NSVS light curve shows a
peculiar stagnation of brightening. The MISAO Project observations
also suggest a hint of the stagnation.

I do not know if further observations and researches of this star in
details are encouraged or not. Any comments are welcome.
Best regards,
