Dear colleagues,
I report new variable star discovery in the course of the MISAO
Project (MisV1440).
Seiichi Yoshida, MISAO Project; Nobuo Ohkura and Youichirou Nakashima,
Okayama, Japan, discovered a new variable star MisV1440.
It was picked up by Seiichi Yoshida from the candidates of new
variable stars detected by the PIXY system 2 from images taken by
Nobuo Ohkura and Youichirou Nakashima.
Patrick Wils commented that it is rather red in the 2MASS and SDSS
images and it is a long period variable. It is supported by the NSVS
light curve.
Taichi Kato commented that the 2MASS color is J-H = 0.8 mag, H-Ks =
0.4 mag, which suggests a red variable.
