The AAVSO light curve certainly looks LPV-like to me.  It also
gives an amplitude range of 9.5-13 or so, with a regular period
near the GCVS value of 555 days.  I'd call it a Mira,
personally, though the spectrum says carbon star.  The GCVS
amplitude is photographic, which is always larger than the
visual amplitude.  Nice light curve, BTW - someone who knows
what they are doing has been observing it.
