may I suggest the following: please take the first interstellar rocket to one of your favorite red stars and report us your findings when you arrive there, keeping radiosilence underway (!). 

ps: dear colleagues, please forgive me this first (and last!) reaction on the irritating mails we all received from mr. Coconut. May this forum be again a medium for interesting exchanges of information on variable stars.
