I think you will find that some of the issues with VSX 
submissions go back as far as late April rather than just 
being due to the upgrading of the web server in early June.

I suspect that sorting the problem - if problem there is and
I have my doubts - is not regarded as high priority because of
the low percentage of all new variables entered in this way.
