Well, it's all go in Centaurus of late.

According to GCVS it's about half a mag in V range normally, from mag 13.4 down, so too faint for ASAS3.

Whether it does anything optically in a correlated sort of way, or on what time scales, I know not (sometimes there's a lag in xray and gamma ray sources before the optical event anyway, if the optical event is something circumstellar being hit). I don't even know if anyone has ever monitored it optically during these outbursts, so it's all new stuff. Periodic high energy outburster again.

This is MAXI/GSC

this is SWIFT (no doubt it'll be a ToO showing up on swift quicklook pages soon).

Centaurus is apparently late in the season though.

Cheers

John
