I will say it once, and not get involved in an argument with John.  DR0 was an 
initial small list of stars with known systematic errors, and was only released 
to a small subset of collaborators.  DR1 is the proper catalog with which to 
start comparison.  As with many surveys, the APASS data releases will be 
comprehensive, each containing the previous objects and often with improved 
photometry of those objects in addition to new targets.  A refereed paper is in 
progress; it could not be written prior to the DR1 release and so needs time to 
complete.  Most everything else he states is pure supposition and does not 
warrant a response.
