The Lichtenknecker Database of the BAV (LkDB) is a large collection of times
of minimum for eclipsing binaries of the northern hemisphere. It is now
available in the world wide web with a new release (Rev. 4.0). It contains layout
improvements and new functions.

The user can choose the range of minima displayed in the (O-C)-diagram
    * display photoelectric and CCD observations only, supress all others
    *   supress uncertain observations
    * display minima within the time from ... to .... only (was already
part of Rev. 3.0)
The structure of data records has changed. We distinguish now between
photoelectric and CCD observations and in this case optical filters are recordet if
reported by the observer. The user can display a table of data records
correnponding with the chosen range of minima in a separate window. There is a new
function to download this table as a textfile for further own data
processing.
Over that Rev. 4.0 contains an update of the database itself. Some new
eclipsing binaries and many new minima published by IBVS and 〓Variable Star
Bulletin“ of VSOLJ (Japan) have been entered. AAVSO and BAV came to an agreement to
integrate 〓Observed Minimum Times of Eclipsing Binaries“ published by the
AAVSO in the future. The LkDB Rev. 4.0 now contains 1987 eclipsing binaries
and more than 136,000 times of minimum.
