The Lichtenknecker Database of the BAV (LkDB), Rev. 4.4 is now available in the world wide web.

The new revision consists of a database update (more stars, more times of minimum) without any functional
changements. The LkDB now contains 2048 eclipsing binaries with more than 164,000 times of
minimum (TOM).

The most important sources for new data are:

IBVS
Information Bulletin on Variable Stars
Rev. 4.4 contains all data of IBVS up to No. 5959 as far as they concern TOM for eclipsing binaries.
AAVSO
Observed Minima Timings of Eclipsing Binaries No. 01 ? No. 12 and Journal of the AAVSO up to Vol. 38

VSOLJ
Variable Star Bulletin No. 33 ? No. 50

OEJV
Open European Journal on Variable Stars up to No. 116

New eclipsing binaries are:
KP And, V440 And, V441 And, GK Boo, GX Boo, HR Boo, NR Cam, IL Cnc, IO Cnc,
CZ CMi, LQ Com, DR CVn, DX CVn, DY CVn, EE CVn, V2422 Cyg, LZ Dra, V1045 Her,
V1052 Her, V1091 Her, V1095 Her, V1096 Her, V1102 Her, V1103 Her, OS Lac, GU Leo,
GV Leo, HI Leo, MQ UMa, MS UMa, GR Vul

According to “The 78th name-list of variable stars” (IBVS 5721) some stars changed their
names. This concerns the following four variables:
Previous name : WX Eri New name : V1241 Tau
                        HI Peg ER Psc
                        ES Tau V555 Aur
                        BM Vul V411 Peg

I thank very much Joachim H?bscher, Thorsten Lange and Wolfgang Grimm from the BAV for their help and work on that revision.

Please inform all members of your organization who might be interested.

Kind regards
