The error box of the unusual X-ray transient H4044 (Arimoto et al., GCN 4942
--- the second outburst from the source H4043, Fenimore et al., 4938) was
observed with Russian-Turkish 1.5-m telescope (RTT150, Bakirlitepe, TUBITAK
National Observatory, Turkey) on April 3, 00:45 UT. We made 3x300R mosaic
images of the field, covering the entire HETE error box. Comparison of the
obtained images with DSS-II plate reveal no new objects down to the limit of
DSS-II.
