[GCN Circulars]

All GCN Customers,                     04 Apr 08

The GCN System will be off-line this Saturday (05 Apr 08)
starting from 12:00 and extending to as long as 20:00 UT.
The outage may not last the full 8 hours.

This outage is for both the Notices (socket-based & email-based)
and for the Circulars.
This affects all missions (all input to GCN and all output from GCN).
(There is a 10% chance that a burst from one of the missions
will happen during this 8-hour interval.)

The Goddard Network people are doing upgrades to the
main center-wide router/gateway.

I apologize for the late notice, but as so often happens
with these sceduled network outages, they cancel them
as late as a day before the actual work.  (So I error
on the side of not sending out announcements that have
to be retracted half the time.)

The Swift MOC (at PSU) will still receive the real-time
TDRSS alerts, and some Swift Team members will be aware
if a burst should happen during this interval.  If one
should happen, Notices will be manually generated and distributed
once the Goddard network resumes (BAT_Position, XRT_Position &
UVOT_Position only).
