These images represent Messier 51 at 2011 June 3.275.  I have made no magnitude estimate, but I attach a dark-subtracted unfiltered FITS image from the series.

Equipment: 8-inch SCT with .63x focal reducer (so focal ratio f/6.3) and ST-237A CCD imager with CFW-8A Color Filter Wheel.

12x30 seconds Luminance, colour 2xbin 10x30 seconds Red, 20x30 seconds Green, 30x30 seconds Blue
