Dear Alex,
Follow up reports in the CBAT page say that no object was detected down to
mag. 15 last night.
Maybe a slightly wrong position fooled the observers?
Are you sure the object you observed is not a known star?
Can you please provide a better position or a chart?
Thanks!
Sebastian

Subject: [vsnet-obs 73205] PNV J16535000-2554330
Hi friends,
This object is listed here:
http://www.cbat.eps.harvard.edu/unconf/followups/J16535000-2554330.html
Using AAVSO Plotter and ASAS-3 magnitudes, I think that I catched it:
PNV J16535000-2554330 20120718.9965 12.7: AAX ASAS-3
using ASAS165405-2558.0 (V = 12.269) and ASAS165349-2548.4 (V = 12.846).
Near the position there is ASAS165348-2555.4 (V = 13.891) but is too...
close my 18cm reflector limit.
