I derived an accurate position for the variable star ASASSN-21dc with the 30cm
telescope of the Foligno Observatory (K56) at a scale of 0.72"/pixel.
The star is at RA 07:53:19.49, DEC -12:09:55.0
The position was measured with Astrometrica, using the USNO-B1 as reference
catalog, and a photometric radius of 7 pixel.
Blink comparison with the SERC-I plate and the PanSTARRS image give no
counterpart. The nearest star is located at 07:53:19.222 -12:09:54.27 (PanSTARRS
position). No remarkable proper motion is given for this star in Gaia EDR3: this
is confirmed by the blink of the old POSS-E plate (taken in 1955) and the
PanSTARSS image (taken in 2012).
The quiescent level of the star is therefore below the limit of the PanSTARRS
survey.
