OT J213806.6+261957: refined superhump period
Maehara-san and Okayama U. of Sci. team have reported further observations.
The refined superhump period is 0.05482(1) d, confirming that the object
has one of the shortest superhump periods among WZ Sge-type dwarf novae.
We have tentatively identified a period of early superhumps as 0.05334(3) d,
although the low amplitudes and possible presence of ordinary superhumps
make identification rather difficult. Assuming these periodicities,
the fractional superhump excess is 2.8 %, slightly large for extreme
WZ Sge-type objects. Although the relatively early appearance of
ordinary superhumps (about 7 d after maximum) might suggest that the object
may be more analogous to less extreme WZ Sge-type objects, the supposed
rare outburst frequency might suggest otherwise. In any case, we absolute
need further observations to investigate the evolution of superhumps
and the nature of the object.
