[vsnet-outburst 12665] Outburst of the recurrent nova T Pyx !

Hello

The recurrent nova T Pyx is obviously going into outburst.

The last observed outburst started with a steep rise to mag 8 on ~ 7th Dec 1966,
reached 7 mag vis after an other month, and lasted ~ 280 d before it was back to
quiescence again.

The GCVS says that previous outbursts were observed in 1890, 1902, 1920, 1944.

Congrats to Michael Linnolt to spot and announce this rare outburst (AFAIK) first.
