[vsnet-outburst 15503] Three Bright ASAS-SN CVs (ATEL)

[Taichi Kato]

   Additional outburst (15.7 mag) for ASASSN-13ao was recorded
by CRTS.  Also another outburst (15.2 mag) for ASASSN-13aq
was detected by CRTS.  ASASSN-13ao is a good candidate SU UMa-type
according to the SDSS colors.

During the ongoing All Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASAS-SN or

"Assassin"; ATel #4987, #4999, #5010, #5052, #5082, #5102), using data

from the double 14-cm "Brutus" telescope in Haleakala, Hawaii, we 
discovered three new transients:

ASASSN-13ao was present in images obtained 2013 UT June 08.28 but 
undetected (V > 17) on 2013 UT May 31. Vizier reveals an optical 
source with B = 20.5 detected 0.3" from our ASAS-SN position in the 
USNO-B1 catalog. There is also a 0.4" SDSS match with a blue, g=21.2 
star. ASASSN-13ao is most likely a CV in a strong outburst.

ASASSN-13ap was present in images obtained 2013 UT June 08.34 but 
undetected (V > 17) on 2013 UT May 24. Vizier reveals an optical 
source with B = 21.2 detected 0.8" from our ASAS-SN position in the 
USNO-B1 catalog. There is also a 0.5" SDSS match with a blue, g=21.1 
star. ASASSN-13ao is most likely a CV in outburst.

ASASSN-13aq was present in images obtained 2013 UT June 05.40 and June

09.38 but undetected (V > 17) on 2013 UT May 31. Vizier reveals an 
optical source with B = 21.0 detected 1.5" from our ASAS-SN position 
in the USNO-B1 catalog. ASASSN-13aq is most likely a CV in outburst.
