BB Ari: precursor and superoutburst!

   Arto Oksanen and Caisey Harlingten reported observations
from Chile.  W. Goff also reported observations to the AAVSO
database.  Goff's observations indicate that the object
was fading from a precursor outburst on Aug. 5 (14.6-14.7 mag),
then reached a tempoary minimum (Aug. 7-8, 17.4 mag).
The object was bright when it was observed again on Aug. 10.
During this temporary minimum, stage A superhumps were
detected!  The period was 0.07371(5) d.  The superhump period
at present is 0.07252(7) d.  This observation illustrate
the ability of early detection and early follow-up observations,
yielding yet another stage A period estimation.
Further observations are encouraged.
