Thanks Gary. My other obs of V650 Ori this month, all C and all from Bunbury Observatory, also show it brightening last night:

It does seem to be rising slowly.  Here are my V-band observations from the last couple of nights...
Dec 19.058    16.559VDec 26.098    16.385VDec 29.115    15.281V   The brightest I've ever recorded it.
All BRT
Too misty here to observe at the moment!
