Dear colleagues,
This evening (2015, Jan 2), I obtained unfiltered CCD photometry
observations of OT J031600.08+175824.4 at CBA Belgium Observatory, using a
0.35-m f/6.3 telescope and STT-3200ME CCD camera. The resulting light curve
- covering a period of 3.9 hours - clearly shows the presence of superhumps,
hence establishing this target as a new UGSU-type dwarf nova. The sumperhump
amplitude is approx 0.35 mag. A period analysis using the ANOVA,
Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a period of 0.072 +/- 0.002
d.
No modulations were visible in my 2014, Dec 28th light curve of this object.
Observations will be send to CBA and VSNET for further analysis. It is
evident that additional observations are needed to more accurately
establish the superhump period.
Best regards
Tonny
