The current outburst started on 2021 July 17, preceded by a precursor outburst (from July 13 to 14).
A previous (short) outburst was recorded from 2016 July 28 to 30 by ATLAS and the ASAS-SN Sky Patrol.
This variable looks like an SU UMa-type dwarf nova with an orbital period above the gap
(if the red source Gaia DR2 417437629669203968 is really the progenitor).
Time-resolved photometry is urgently required.
