OV Boo: eclipsing WZ Sge-type dwarf nova with prominent early superhumps
Tamas Tordai, Shugarov's team, Maeda-san and Itoh-san
have reported observations. The object shows prominent
(up to 0.6 mag in V) double-wave early superhumps.
The object is now established to be a WZ Sge-type
dwarf nova below the period minimum.
Broad eclipses probably comprise a part of the profile of
early superhumps.
From now on, two types of observations are extremely
important:
(1) As usual, determination of the period of stage A
superhumps (after several to ten days from now?).
Please continue the current coverage during
the entire course of the superoutburst.
It provides an estimation of the mass ratio
independent from eclipse observations.
Very crucial information to study the evolutionary
status.
(2) Multicolor photometry (BVI, and hopefully U).
It can provide information (reconstruction) about
the structure of the accretion disk. See:

This object is expected to undergo a WZ Sge-type
outburst, likely followed by rebrightenings.
It is of great interest to follow the entire
outburst by multicolor photometry, especially
what occurs when rebrightenings start.
Optional:
* Of course, time-resolved spectroscopy is very
important. cf.

* Infrared (J to K) observations are also desirable
(Many WZ Sge-type dwarf novae show IR excesses
during the later course of superoutbursts.
* Fast photometry if possible. Particularly
in the late phase, we may resolve the white dwarf
and the disk.
