OV Boo: dip phase before expected rebrightenings
Tamas Tordai, Lew Cook, Itoh-san, Domenico Licchelli, Arto Oksanen, Maeda-san
and Kyoto U. team have reported new observations.
As I reported yesterday, the magnitude of the object is almost constant (~16.0 V)
during this one day. This is darker than plateau phase but brighter than quiescence.
This behavior seems to be a dip phase before the coming rebrightening phase.
Note that the typical depth of the dip of WZ Sge-type objects is 2-3 mag, but one of
OV Boo is only 1 mag. This difference suggest that a lot of inner disk of OV Boo has
been hot yet.
The object will show rebrightenings within 1-3 days. Further observations are
ecnouraged.
