It was a very short outburst as a day later it was back at the 19.5 mag range (as just submitted).

ASASSN-17fp: outburst

     Josch Hambsch has reported further snapshots. The object was 17.3 mag on May 17, which is brighter than the quiescence of 18.5-19.0 mag. Time-series observations are encouraged since this AM CVn-type object might show superhumps.
