The previous (recorded) outburst started
on 2016 February 23 (ASAS-SN Sky Patrol).
It looked like a superoutburst (with a
rebrightening on 2016 March 12).
The current outburst seems to be a normal
one.

CRTS J044027.1+023301: new SU UMa-type dwarf nova
Tonny Vanmunster has reported a short run.
The object displayed a superhump. The hump
amplitude suggests that the object is a
typical SU UMa-type dwarf nova. Further
observations are needed to determine the
period.
