Dear colleagues,

I have concluded the analysis of my 2018, Jun 14/15 unfiltered CCD
photometry session of ASASSN-18mp. Observations were made at CBA
Extremadura Observatory in Spain, using a 0.40-m f/5.1 telescope and Trius
SX-46 CCD camera, under a very clear sky. As announced in my message
earlier today, the resulting light curve shows the presence of eclipses
with an eclipse depth of 0.66 mag. See upper graph in the picture below.
Based on two mid-eclipse timings, I find an orbital period Porb = 0.0623
+/- 0.0007d.

The eclipses are superimposed on very beautiful double-waved superhumps.
See middle graph, indicating that the object is either an eclipsing SU UMa
type dwarf nova, or an eclipsing WZ Sge type dwarf nova (UGSU+E or UGWZ+E).
The superhumps have an amplitude of 0.24 mag. A period analysis using the
ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a combined superhump
period Psh = 0.0624 +/- 0.0011d. See lower graphs.

The object was at mag 15.6 (CV) on Jun 15th. Follow-up observations are
strongly recommended to further refine Porb and Psh.

Observations will be sent to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Best regards
Tonny
