[vsnet-outburst 23384] PNV J06483343+0656236: complex modulations - possible long-period SU UMa type dwarf nova

Dear colleagues,
I have just concluded the analysis of my 2019, Mar 01/02 and 02/03 unfiltered CCD photometry sessions of PNV J06483343+0656236. Observations were made at CBA Extremadura Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/5.1 telescope and SX Trius SX-46 CCD camera, under very clear skies. My observations were triggered by the outburst announcement of Tadashi Kojima in “vsnet-outburst 23380”.
The resulting light curve shows the presence of complex short-term modulations, with an amplitude of 0.05-0.08 mag over time intervals of 10-15 minutes. Superimposed on this is a larger-term variation with an amplitude of 0.22 mag and a combined prominent period of 0.1084 +/- 0.0042d, based on an analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso). The shape of the larger-term phase folded light curve resembles the signature of an SU UMa type dwarf nova, but further observations are needed to securely conclude this.
I will publish above lightcurve and phase diagram on the “Cataclysmic Variables” Facebook page.
The object was at mag 12.6 (CV) on Mar 2nd and at mag 13.2 (CV) on Mar 3th, implying a decline rate of approx. 0.6 mag/d.
I will send my observations to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.
Follow-up observations are urgently needed to determine the exact nature of this object.
