ASASSN-18ey = MAXI J1820+070: bright rebrightening
Josch Hambsch and Tamas Tordai kindly reported optical
observations. The source is currently close to 15 mag.
For reference, an example of rebrightenings in a black-hole
binary is attached. ASASSN-18ey was brighter in the main
outburst than the example source, so its rebrightenings are
also expected to become brighter. Anyway, amazing things
are gonna on.
This object has ~17-hours superhump period according to
the humps in the main outburst, so it will be necessary to
continue observations for long time period in order to
detect superhumps. Also, multi-color observations are
encouraged.
Kind regards,
Mariko Kimura
