ASASSN-18ey = MAXI J1820+070: short-term variability
Klaus Wenzel, Tamas Tordai, Hiroshi Itoh, Tonny Vanmunster
reported new observations.
The source shows gradual rising still now and the current
magnitude is ~14.5. Additionally, short-term (a few minutes)
variations (maybe flaring events) were observed. As for the
multi-wavelength behavior, X-ray flux is ~10 times brighter
than yesterday according to MAXI team, and radio flux is
also significantly rising according to ATel #12577.
Although large-amplitude variations are not observed now,
it is also interesting to look at this short-term variability which
might be related to jet ejections.
Multi-color monitoring (filtered observations) are encouraged
because the color variations and multi-wavelength SEDs are
helpful to identify the origin of this kind of variations.
