Subject: [vsnet-alert 24324] SDSS J124058.03-015919.2 (AM CVn star): 5th rebrightening (June 2)

 SDSS J124058.03-015919.2 (UGWZ+IBWD)
https://www.aavso.org/vsx/index.php?view=detail.top&oid=132563

As expected, a fifth rebrightening occurred on 2020 June 2, as observed by Josch Hambsch (HMB):
https://www.aavso.org/apps/webobs/results/?star=SDSS+J124058.03-015919.2

Previous rebrightenings occurred on May 8, 13, 19, and 26.
The (main) superoutburst (not a "double superoutburst") was observed from April 27 until May 4.

Time-resolved photometry is still required.

Clear skies,
Patrick

 SDSS J124058.03-015919.2: 4th rebrightening

Lasair detected its 4th rebrightening on 26th May, and also Moriyama-san reported an observation.
However, it is already below 15.8 mag on 27th by Kyoto Univ. Obs. and Moriyama-san.
Thus, as previous rebrightenings, this 4th rebrightening seems also a short outburst.

As the duration between short outbursts are 6~7 days but a timescale of outburst is about one day, continuous observations are encouraged to detect the next outburst.
